In reply to Helonia VS Helvetica - Curious dearth of information:
"In any event, I have an open mind, and I am curious to know if you have any recommendations for a sans serif font to adopt for body text that is easy to read and for lack of a better word, classy."
Here's a thought. Why not play with a serif/sans family, like Scala? The sans stands quite nicely on its own, but also complements the serif, and you can then explore how the two are similar and differ. I would consider Scala classier than Helvetica, both because of its appearance (debatable) and because of its provenance (fact). It certainly has a very different feel, being more humanist and more open.
