In reply to What letters to start with?:
I usually start with "a", "e", "o" ,"n" and then go to something like "handgloves" but it really is a matter of preference. Having said that I still don't fully understand how one can take advantage of reoccurring shapes throughout the alphabet in designing a font. I recently discovered the "shape groups" function in Fontlab and I am not really sure what exactly its purpose is but i guess it has to do with using a glyph as a guide for an other and being able to make instant comparisons between them. I think it would be interesting if someone could shed some light in this direction.
Also I am new here too, so Hi.
