I think I've explained it now

I think I've explained it now and again - for example during
my talk at ATypI's conference in Mexico City. In the end it's a
very simple explanation: any arbitrary constraint (in this case
the linking of the two edges of the black that's being painted)
can only be an obstacle on the path towards ideal functionality.

BTW, just to be clear, I didn't say that I don't need to prove
anything to anybody; what I said was that even if I couldn't
prove anything I could still trust my instincts.
